Cooking with Heart, Creating with Joy

Eva smiling warmly in her modern kitchen, wearing a beige sweater and white apron, ready to cook.

I created this blog with a simple belief: Great food doesn’t need to be complicated. In fact, some of the most unforgettable meals come from everyday ingredients, thoughtful combinations, and a touch of creativity. Whether you’re cooking for yourself, feeding loved ones, or trying something for the very first time, my aim is to be your friendly guide, with clear steps, warm encouragement, and a pinch of fun.

At the core of every recipe I share is simplicity. I truly believe that everyone can cook, no fancy skills required. Let’s take the pressure off and bring the fun back into your kitchen, one simple recipe at a time.

A deeper love for food : Not just for what we eat, but for the moments, memories, and people it connects us to.

My Story: From Little Hands to Big Flavors

My love for cooking started when I was just a little girl, standing on a stool next to my mom in our family kitchen. She was my first teacher showing me how to mix, stir, bake, and taste with joy and curiosity. We made everything together. Cookies for the holidays, warm bread on Sunday mornings, and birthday cakes that were slightly lopsided but filled with love. She didn’t just teach me how to follow a recipe, she taught me how to listen to the food, how to be patient, and how to cook with heart.

As I got older, I started trying things on my own. I made mistakes (many!), burned a few meals, and once used salt instead of sugar in a cake, but I never stopped loving it. I started experimenting with new ingredients, collecting recipes, and cooking for friends and family every chance I got. What began as a mother-daughter tradition turned into a lifelong love and now, this blog.

A Kitchen Full of Stories

For me, every recipe has a story !

The soup that reminds me of rainy days at home. The chocolate cake I made for my best friend’s birthday. The pasta dish I cooked for my first dinner party. Food marks moments, and I believe the best meals aren’t always the fanciest ones. They’re the ones shared, remembered, and made with joy.

Meet My Kitchen Sidekick

Not everything that fills my heart happens in the kitchen. A few years ago, on a rainy afternoon that I’ll never forget, I opened my door and found a tiny, scruffy pup curled up beneath the porch bench wet, shivering, and clearly lost. He looked up at me with the gentlest eyes, as if to say, “Can I stay?” And without hesitation, I scooped him up in a towel and whispered, “You’re home now.” I named him Ollie.

He was timid at first cautious, quiet, always sticking close. But with a little time, a lot of love, and more treats than I’d like to admit, he bloomed into the happiest, goofiest companion I could’ve ever hoped for. These days, Ollie’s my kitchen sidekick and my everyday joy. He’s got a thing for sunspots on the floor, naps during recipe testing, and sneaking green beans when he thinks I’m not looking.

Ollie reminds me to slow down, to savor the little things a warm meal, a wagging tail, a peaceful moment. His presence is a daily nudge to find joy in the ordinary, and that spirit finds its way into every recipe I share.

He may not be the one behind the stove, but he’s a big part of the heart behind this blog.
